general rules
fifth estate is an italian mob gpsl set in chicago, illinois. the premise revolves around on particular italian family, the lombardi's, and their associates. as with any game, we require keeping ic and ooc drama separate. we will have open ears with regards to linecrossing and will handle things as necessary. if things progress and can not be resolved, it could lead to removal from the community. we want to provide a home for open-minded writers who want to make meaningful connections and thrive off the story.

we want to keep this group a minimal size to start so we have a 2 character limit in place for the time being. should we find out that you have brought in more characters, we will ask that they be removed. we want to give the community a chance to grow and involve as many writers as we can. this rule is subject to change depending on the flow of the game.

monthly activity
upon acceptance, each memeber must post an entry to fratellanza within 72 hours. we understand that most, if not all, characters will already be familiar with one another but we'd like to have a post that people can comment within 72 hours. our gpsl requires monthly activity and participation. each month we will be looking for one publicly viewed thread, this can include a community-wide thread or one posted via usery, and one journal update. the journal update can be either in a narrative style or some kind of publicly accessible post of your choosing. if a post is not made, you will be removed with the next set of adds.

as a community we will have plot lotteries and be open to plot suggestions from our members. there is more information on the members page regarding how to involve your characters.

we ask that you please make sure your friends list is up to date regularly to ensure our members posts are being seen.

how to join
once you have finished reading these basic set of rules, pop back over to the application and fill out the required form. we require that all journals be ic and cannot contain any underscores, numbers, or additional letters that does not pertain to your characters name in any way. we do not require a lenghty biography, however, we do want to have a good idea of your character and his/her background. we will mostly focus on examples for your acceptance so we ask for at least two scene examples, and also at least two narrative and/or entry examples.
